New faculty

My name is Laura Bray. I am a Lexington native and was so glad to return to Kentucky after some time in California and Texas! My husband and I have two young children, June and Doug, who keep us on the move! I began my OT career in inpatient rehabilitation at Cardinal Hill and have worked with many populations as well as in different roles over the years. My most recent clinical OT position was working in the First Steps program, which is Kentucky's early intervention program. When we returned to Kentucky, I returned to my role as as student in the Rehabilitation Sciences PhD program at UK. My research focus has been on the role of occupational therapy in literacy with an interest in the occupational needs of children with literacy challenges. My favorite part of being an occupational therapist is working with people and their families in returning to and/or achieving meaningful occupation!
