Entry Level Graduate Programs in Occupational Therapy
Students who complete the Occupational Therapy graduate program (MS in OT or entry-level OTD) are eligible to take the national certification examination given by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and apply for licensure in those states requiring it.
Attention spring 2020 applicants: We are currently transitioning to an entry-level doctorate (OTD) program.
- Students (pre-OS undergraduates) who apply in March 2020 for the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science degree will be the last class who will graduate with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. These students will obtain the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science degree in addition to the Masters of Science in OT.
- Applicants who already hold a baccalaureate degree (transition/ second degree option) will be the first class of students in the new entry-level OTD program (pending ACOTE candidacy approval). These students will obtain the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science degree in addition to the OTD.

***Professional level graduates must apply for licensure and/or certification prior to practicing in any state. A criminal record (excluding minor traffic violations) may make a person ineligible for national certification examination and/or licensure or state certification for practice. Students with such a history should contact NBCOT and relevant licensing or certifying bodies prior to enrollment to determine their situation.
