Eastern Kentucky University Students Study With Morning Pointe Seniors
Residents at the Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Lexington helped out the students in Eastern Kentucky University’s occupation therapy Master’s program by providing a site for learning. Four students came to the Alzheimer’s memory care community and each picked a resident and created a fun intervention for a problem older individuals may face. The residents really enjoyed the experience and got to create several crafts and photo albums to keep in their apartments. It was a wonderful intergenerational experience for both the seniors and students.
