At the 100 year celebration of the occupational therapy profession in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 28 – April 2, 2017, the 2017 Eastern Kentucky University delegation was the largest representation to date for an AOTA Annual Conference. Seventeen Masters students, several Doctoral students, and 17 faculty attended.

Autism Awareness Month at EKU

April is Autism Awareness month. Autism impacts 1 in 68 individuals according to the Autism Speaks website. During this month we “light it up blue” in support of these unique individuals.

Dr. Dana M. Howell’s sustained contributions over the past 25 years to occupational therapy embody the values of the profession. As a trend-setter she has expanded recognition of OT’s role in interprofessional education with her expertise as an ongoing scholar, leader and mentor.
